We are happy to announce that River//Cities flow of identity project has received the support of European Cultural Foundation.
The aim of the River//Cities Flows of Identity project is:
- to develop River//Cities Platform – fruitful partnership between European organizations sharing an interest in river and waterfront areas as cultural and educational resource;
- to connect with an increasing number of cities with watercourses around Europe and create strong collaborative links between the partners;
- to disseminate and promote the River//Cities objectives, principles and results of our work;
- to develop artistic and organisational cooperation and intercultural awareness;
- to build a strong base for formalisation of the network.
Sharing successful artistic project models, issues and solutions within a network, we can transform our rivers, spark new developments and discussions leading to improved quality of life and increased civic participation not only in partner cities.
Our broad information campaign will provide opportunities for extended impact beyond the group and longevity for the partnership. The project provides a mechanism to disseminate information among general public but also to influence cities' policies and planning.
