The Boats of the Vistula River, 05.07 -14.10.2018, Warsaw, Poland
“The Boats of the Vistula River” exhibition is dedicated to the vessels which sailed the Warsaw part of the Vistula river and their stories. It will take place on two unique places on the Vistula: iBarka and Przystan Nowa Fala at Patton’s boulevard.
The exhibition is to mark a few historic anniversaries. It has been 190 since the first modern steam boat “Victory” appeared on the Vistula. 100th jubilee is also celebrated by the Vistula Flotilla, established in 1918. In this way exhibition commemorates 100 years anniversary of regaining independence by Poland.
“The Boats of the Vistula River” presents the images and stories on almost 50 boats and their owners as well as the inland ports on the Vistula in Warsaw.
The event is accompanied by meetings and lectures.
The exhibition is produced by Fundacja Do Dzieła in cooperation with iBarka and Przystań Nowa Fala.
